I am a woman with wide feet. The shape of men's shoes is better for me, but my feet are small enough that I tend to wear that size that is skipped between boys and mens shoes - 7.5 or so. Other reviews said it runs small, so I tried these. They are perfect. Great walking shoes and waterproof to ... Read More

its an alright shoe, the OutDry waterproof really works well. Shoe feels slightly small, would suggest ordering 1/2 size larger not full size. I also feel the shoe is little too high in the heel and moves your whole foot forward almost shoving it into the front of the shoe which then feels cramped/smaller

Had recently bought a pair of similar Montrails so thought I'd check out the waterproof ones with Fall around the corner. They have a little thicker sole (read as taller profile) then most but are comfortable and sizing was right for me.

I bought a pair of these trail running shoes for my husband, because I was really impressed with the comfort and traction with my own pair. These are the shoes that were rated as the best trail running shoes in Outside Magazine's 2014 Gear Guide, so I had to try them. I wear a 8 1/2 women's size and bought a pair of 9 s for myself, because some said that they ran small. I have been very happy with them. My husband has been wanting some, so I found that these were available in men's sizes too, and ordered a pair of 8 i/2 mens, though he is usually a 7 1/2 or 8. Many of the reviewers said they ran very small. When they arrived, I found that they were not just similar to mine, but they were in fact identical. My husband could barely get his feet in them, but I found that they fit me fine with thin socks. They were in fact SMALLER than my women's version in size 9. I kept them for myself, but they were nowhere near a men's size 8 1/2. I am guessing they were closer to a 6 1/2 or 7 in men's sizes. I am convinced that they are in fact women's montrail fairhavens, just mislabeled as men's. Nice shoe, though.

This shoe went 168.4 miles from canadian border of Vermont to Rutland Vermont on the Long Trail and are now worn out as the heal tread portion of the right shoe is nothing but foam. This shoe wore well with breathablity but the tread pattern and the shoe soles did not hold up. Why Montrail would not put the same sole as the Hardrocks a shoe I wore for 750 miles of Appalachian Trail is beside me, The fact that Montrail discontinued that shoe model makes me scratch my head that shoe was a AT staple amounst hikers. I will be returning these shoes to Montrail for some type of credit if handled right I will stay a loyal customer otherwise I,m headed to a different brand never to return to Montrail

returned the 10.5,just a little too big,I believe the sizing to be pretty close as I am usually a size 10.Good sized toe box area.
