I live in Chicago and we just had heavy snow fall and these boots are great!!! My feet are well insulated and dry. The boots are true to size. So, a size 9 = a size 9. I purchased a size 10 thinking the boots would run small because of the insulation and they are a bit too big. So, purchase you... Read More

I really like these boots. Super flexible and comfy and very warm.
Only complaint is that they are pretty slippery on ice.

I purchased these boots based on many reviews that they were warm. I wore them for the first time today in a snow storm in upstate NY. The temperature was about 30 degrees and my feet got cold walking from the car to my daughter's school and back to the car again. The tag on the boots said they were rated to -25 degrees (they shouldn't even be rated for +25 degrees. I was skeptical when I first tried them on since the bottom seem very thin and they seemed to have very little insulation in the foot area. Since my old boots fell apart, I didn't have much choice except to wear these boots today. Although I do like how they lace all the way up and aren't too bulky, I am very disappointed about them not being warm!

Great for the snow and cold temperatures. Keep my feet warm and dry. They arrived quickly and were exactly what I ordered. The only reason I took a star away is because the soul isn't as think as I would like it to be.

  • Question “Hi, any idea how these would perform in -25F?

    Thanks”
Asked on 12/18/2013 6:16:57 PM by GH from Svalbard
    • Answer According to their winter boot guide - you need 1000 to 2000 grams of insulation for frigid weather. These boots are only 200 grams. So I would say no.
Check out their winter boot guide on the product page.
      Hope this helps --

    • Answer Probably would not work very well - the thinsulate lining is not thick enough for that and the sole is fairly thin. They are great for -5 F and warmer (out and about town) and not heavy, so they are easy to wear.

      Hope that helps.

  • Question “would the calf fit a 17" circumference?”
Asked on 12/13/2013 1:20:24 AM by JB from WI
    • Answer These lace up the front, and so I think you might have a chance of it fitting a 17" circumference calf if you lace it loosely. There might possibly be some gapping, but I can't really tell. You would have a lot better chance of this style boot fitting, rather than a zip-up.
