I purchased the Polarskins top and the bottoms to help me survive Michigan winters. I wear these whenever temps fall below about 15F and I stay very comfortable. They have helped me through two winters now, including New Years bonfires in the Keewenaw peninsula, and show no significant signs of wear. Being fleece, they also seem to wick sweat well and have been remarkably odor resistant. Highly recommended!

I have many base layer tops from Sierra, and although this is the same size, this isn't the same size. The cut reveals sloppy work, flaring wide at the bottom. Also it's cut fairly short compared to my other base layer tops. Too pricey, shipping too expensive. It was a mistake. I used to buy a lot from Sierra. This was my first in a long time. I don't think I'll be back.

I do field research in the mid-west year round. I just got this top last week and was able to wear it for a few days of -15C field work and it held up great. I can't speak to its longevity since I've only had it a week now. It's thin enough to comfortably layer under other clothes, long enough to tuck in to your long underwear so it doesn't get drafty, and very soft to the skin. My upper body was comfortably warm while working outdoors in sub-zero windchill weather.
