I have some other silicon pot holders, but they are stiff. Those are now relegated to use as pads when I need to put something hot on the counter. I found one of the Cuisinart holders at a discount store and was hooked! These are nice and flexible. the only stiff part is where the name Cuisinart...

The thickness of these pot holders protects the hand from heat very well. The downside is the thickness coupled with the size make them a bit bulky/ stiff. Consequently, grabbing the edge of a muffin tin can be a challenge. I'm keeping them but for use more as coasters.

Love these potholders! They're very flexible, hold very hot items, and they work even when wet. I wash mine in my dishwasher--top rack--or in the sink with the dishes. They're also nearly indestructible.

I bought two sets, one as a gift and the other for personal use. The sage green color is attractive and these are heavy and sturdy. I have used them to move a heavy cast iron skillet in and out of the broiler. It was very hot and I didn't have any difficulties with it. I recommend it.

This is a good idea for a trivet that somebody in marketing expanded to use for a pot holder. Well, if you are handling a big, fat-handled pot, they will work. But forget trying grab the top of the tea kettle or similarly small item; thy are just too bulky. They insulate very well with very nice silicone in a good grid pattern.
