The bag held up being submerged in water many times, during a 14 hour hike in a ruck packed with bricks.

I have many sizes of Hyalite's dry purge bags. I love them all. I use a 50L to line my pack, and it works great. I use 5-10L's to put hard items that I do not want compressed into. It keeps everything dry and in order in my pack. The purge valve really helps drain the air and keep them as small as possible. The material seems very thin, but thus far I have had no issues with tears or rips.

Have not got a chance to test it out in the wild, but it performed well in the sink and looks great (Highly Visible) incase I flip the kayak.

I live in the Pacific NW and realized that my backpack was barely water resistant, and not at all water proof. I grabbed a handful of these and couldn't be happier. The air valve lets me evacuate the air inside the bags and I have no problem dipping the final package in water and being confident that the contents are dry. These are fairly heavy duty, but still quite light. As always, Sierra Trading Post customer service was top notch.
