This kennel has been great so far. Only thing I wish is that it had a handle on top for easy transportation without dog in of course. Great kennel for my Australian Shepherd puppy.

I agree with the other reviewers. The height is similar to large crates in other brands, but it is narrow. I purchased this for my herding breed puppy. It will be fine for awhile, but not will not be useful for my dog (who will reach about 40 lbs.) as an adult. The design is also not as stable as other crates, the plastic does flex as mentioned in other reviews.

I needed crates the next size up. This xtrs lsrge crate would be a large in another brand.

the crate is good for my growing Aussie pup. plenty of room for him to grow.

The plastic on the kennel is flimsy and has an extreme amount of flex, and the metal on the door is also poor quality and easily bent. Our 25 lbs Beagle easily escapes this crate just by pushing on the door and slipping the latch out of the poorly designed lower catch . I would not recommend this kennel.

Very disappointed as I purchased several of these for traveling with 35# dogs. I ordered them with high hopes as the measurements made them ideal for fitting in a small SUV. Having crate trained many puppies and dogs over the years, my experience with various types of crates and kennels is extensive. Unfortunately, this kennel, though attractive, is made of very soft plastic that "gives" at the points where the vertical bars engage. Also, the vertical rods are about 1/2" too short to be truly functional, so the door is difficult to latch and only about 1/4' of the rod engages in the lock postion. In our trial run of this kennel, a kennel trained dog less than 20 pounds escaped within the first 5 minutes simply by leaning on the front plastic "lip" near the kennel door! The door not only popped open, it fell OFF! After re-assembly and adding the bolts provided for additional security, we gave it another try. Same thing happened and pup was loose within minutes. We also found that even when we opened the door ourselves there was a 50/50 chance said door would come off I our hands!! I certainly would not trust this for auto, or airline travel!! Also, though they make assembly of the kennel easier, the "Clamps" on the side and back mimic a more expensive crate design, but the hinges are just small strips of plastic rather than metal rods. I do wonder why AKC is proudly emblazoned on the side of these kennels as I would never consider them suitable to house even a well trained dog safely at an AKC Obedience, Hunt Trial or Agility event.

Easy to put together. Kennel is tall and narrow so dog has a lot of head room, but not as much room to lay down. Floor of the kennel has four bumps that stick up and look like they would be uncomfortable for dog if it was toward the larger size of the kennel limit. I bought for a growing puppy, so it works fine now. If she gets to the 45 pound range, I'll probably buy another kennel with a flat floor.
