I'm always nervous about buying boots. Whenever I try on cowboy boots I have to go up 2 sizes just to fit my foot in (high arches). I read up on the reviews on these and decided to give them a try--I'm glad I did!. I usually wear a women's 9 or 9.5 and ordered a 7 in mens. The fit is perfect. I... Read More

Got these for my wife. She has small feet but wide, so cannot wear many womens sizes, too narrow. She was skeptical at first, but loves them now. Walks 2 to 3 miles per day in them. She loves the cushion.

I have been wearing Muck boots for many years with good results. Decided to try something different due to frustration with fit and sizing, and curiosity about how much better these NZ designed "gumboots" may really be. The Mucks only last one year due to everyday use on a working farm. Interested to see if the Quatros will hold up better. So far quite comfortable. As a woman I appreciate the slimmer overall shape, although they were very stiff in the beginning. I wear W's 7.5, and purchased the M's 5. Good fit with supportive footbed. Not sure if they will be as warm as Mucks, and mine will not fit as well with very thick socks. Possibly size up by half if you like extra thick socks. Definitely worth the price on this site, much cheaper than usual Mucks or Quatros on the home site.

These are great boots but are not tall. I originally wanted them for my son to fly fish the streams but due to the height, only very low level streams. Still, bought on a great discount so he can use in the snow if the stream option doesn't work. Nice and insulated and my son says very comfortable.

OMG for the price I'm glad I didn't pass these boots up. They r really comfortable & warm. Well built, I'm 48 yrs old I believe they will last me for the rest of my life. They have a nice sole on them for non slip & will not mark on the floor like cheep shoes do. They have this really hard pc of rubber by the heel of the boot to help u get the boot off. That's a nice touch to a boot. They r really easy to get on & off for me. Little effort @ all. I usually wear a size 5, but ordered a 6 just incase I wanted to wear extra pair of socks for warmth. They are a little bit big, but my right foot is larger then my left. I'm glad I got the size 6. They r super comfortable with good support @ the ankles. My feet don't slip up or down @ all. I highly recommend these boots to everyone.

Bought these boots mainly for cleaning and working in my chicken coops and pens. And for a quick slip on to run down to the coops for egg collecting and close in at night. Fairly warm boot and comfortable, for a guy with bad ankles the support was great. Wore them about 7 hours one day and didn't hurt one bit. Very happy with them. The only draw back, fresh socks required. You can't come out of other boots and into these with sweaty socks. Overall worth the price

    • Answer It's a bit more of a "muddy" boot cleat but it's good rubber so I think it will be fine on deck. They are non-marring. Very comfortable. Have been very pleased.

    • Answer They have a fairly aggressive tractor-grip tread design that won't clog up easy with mud and such. I believe them to be non marring. As for deck boots? I would say they should work the rubber on the sole isn't super hard and there is some siping on the toe and heal. They provide good grip on my finished wood deck when it's wet. They grip wet steel well although I am only speaking of the wet steel on equipment frames and floor decks on equipment i.e. I can climb on and off of a wet bulldozer several times in a day and not slip.

    • Answer The tread is similar to a tread found on a hiking boot. I wear them in muddy environments so the cleats in the sole are helpful for my purposes. They could probably work on wet decks, but I don't know that they would provide the same kind of traction as a traditional deck/boat shoe. At present, I have not had any issue with them leaving black marks during normal use.

    • Answer I would say YES too both questions. It looks like a tree branch on the bottom and does not mark on concrete floors.
Very sturdy and good support. ROS

    • Answer The bottom of the Skellerup boot has a rather deep, rugged looking tread that is more designed to keep mud and snow from building up on the bottoms. The front and back of the boots have non-slip surfaces. So these boots are more designed to work in yards and fields and/or heavy snow areas. They are probably not designed for work on decks. The treads are not at all like your typical boat shoe type treads..The bottoms are defintely black, and I can't really tell if they would be severely marring or not. My guess is they would probably mar a bit. I don't really think these boots ae designed for use on boat decks. However, I could possibly see these potentially used on commercial fishing boats, where there is a lot of "stuff" on deck. I wish I could have a difinitive answer for you, but I just don't know about use on boat decks.I do know these boots are extremely comfortable and are sized accurately. Just remember that the proper sizes are just like shoes, i.e. as if you are wearing socks, not shoes. I bought them to use outdoors in the winter.

    • Answer They are rubberized tread on the bottom. The boots are insulated (insulation can not be removed) and are quite stiff. I doubt they would be functional as deck boots

    • Answer Hi Warren, they have a web site www.SKELLERUP.CO.NZ/QUATRO. I did send them an email asking your questions and ventured around on their web site for info. I gather they must be good on slippery surfaces as they were made for Dairy farmers and they sure do have slippery conditions.I can't tell you if they leave black marks from personal use but as soon as they respond I will reply with your answer.
Wish I could have been more help.

    • Answer The tread pattern looks as if it would channel water from under the boot. As to part 2 of the question not sure if it refers to a house or boat deck but believe in a wet situation they would preform admirably in either case. I think the would serve commercial fishermen well. The tread area is soft enough to grip yet strong enough to wear well. In my experience I find the harder the tread the more slippery they are. As far as marring have not seen any evidence to support that at my house.

    • Answer My husband says they are NOT non-marring, definately left a black mark. The bottoms as well are a heavy corregated snow type tread. Hope that helps!
