I needed some supportive insoles for the slippers I felted, so I purchased a pair of these for my husband's slippers first. He couldn't say enough positive about how cushiony (yet supportive) these insoles are. So I purchased a pair for my slippers and I find them to be the perfect slipper insole. W... Read More

I bought a pair of Handmade Maremanno boots from STP (along with two sport coats, an oilskin, a hunting shirt and a shotgun shell holder -- all from HM) a couple of years back and have been using Superfeet Greens up until now. Merino will be more in keeping with the boot, I think, and will fill the bill nicely. Couldn't be happier.

These Superfeet were not made in the US, if that matters to you.

I have wide feet with a low arch (size 9 1/2 EE). I went with the recommended size, which fits into my shoes without further trimming - but but these insoles felt pretty uncomfortable to me. Their arch is too high and extends too far to the forefoot.

I have only worn these once. I had to take the original insert out of the boot to get them comfortable... but they were great after I did that. They are warm and cozy

I have used the orange Superfeet insoles for quite some time in my trail boots and just now but just discovered the Merino version. Generally, when searching for insoles I've found is difficult to follow others' recommendations, you just really have to follow the product information and try them for yourself. I wear wool socks everyday in the spring, summer, winter and fall, so I was really excited to see the wool insoles which have provided some extra coziness these last few chilly weeks. The insole is topped with a thin layer of wool - they are not "cushy" or bulkier than other Superfeet.

Just what I needed to put in my dress boots. Adds the support and warmth they were lacking. I use superfeet insoles in my running shoes so I felt confident ordering them for my boots.

    • Answer F and G refer to a range of sizes that you then trim to fit. Example, I take an F and trim it to fit my 11.5 foot by taking the insole out of a pair of shoes that fit well and using the known-good as a guide. Check with the range to find what would best fit your size. You'll see the range when you click on the size.

    • Answer Yes, these can be trimmed.

    • Answer I just reexamined mine and I suppose they could be trimmed around the front (brown underside shown). But having a wide foot, I've never needed to reduce length, much less width. The brown is a dense plastic similar to thick leather, but should be trim-able with heavy sharp shears. The back half with its attached hard plastic cupped support shell would not trim. It's probably worth noting that this model is the most expensive of the various models offered; they are comfortable and absorbent but didn't offer enough arch support to my foot, so I returned tow of the three I ordered.
