This is a reorder of a one of these received several years ago as a gift. The fact that it is plastic is great here in the NW. The rain doesn't bother it.
FYI it doesn't do well when blown off a 15 ft high deck, hence the repurchase! The birds love it and it holds a great deal of food. I recommend...

Not sure the birds have noticed it yet, because they're concentrating on other feeders, but it is a nice feeder and I'm hoping it will not work for the Steller jays, who will clean out a feeder (very noisily) in a day. Wouldn't mind that so much, but they run off the smaller birds.

this is a sturdy plastic feeder and easy to operate. the birds are already enjoying it along with the local turkeys who get what falls on the ground.
I have several feeders and this unit is equal to or better than the ones I have. I think you will like it as well, I do recommend it,

It is hard to believe that these feeders are plastic! They look like they are made of wrought iron. Easy to load with feed and a generous size too. I'm glad I bought more than one and at these fantastic prices, I might have to replace my other aging feeders for this stylist model.

Not sure how the plastic will hold up in cold weather, but for the price this is a functional, nice looking feeder. The bottom part is only wide enough for small birds, but I do like that it holds plenty of seed.
