So far so good. Only used once, tossing flies at sockeyes. Quick action - sound design for the money.

I just received this rod and have been playing with it for a week. It has nice action and is light and sturdy. I bought it in a 7 weight for streamer fishing. I put a sink tip line on it and it works well. It does not have a hook eye for the fly when you are done, but I just put the hook in the cork handle.

The rod arrived very quickly and was well packaged. I was very happy with the overall design and look of the rod. It has a very nice color scheme and finish on the rod. It was purchased for an upcoming fishing trip so I haven't used it yet. But I have other Redington products and they have all worked well and I don't expect this rod to be any different.

I havent fished with the rod yet because it is waiting for Alaska this summer but I have had it out to cast with and play around. For this price it is an awesome buy. It is definitely a faster action rod, but still loads reasonably easily, especially once you get used to the timing with your casts. If you like medium fast to fast rods this will be great for you. I got the 9 foot 8 weight and it will primarily be used on salmon and pike. Comes with a lifetime warranty from Redington which is a big bonus, and always remember that Redington is actually a Sage with a different name and lower price tag. The main difference is that these are manufactured in Asia, but they are still Sage technology and great quality. If you want an affordable bigger fish rod or even a good quality backup rod then this is well worth considering.
