These boots are sweet, lightweight and durable. I wear them on the trail and for everyday chores. My wife hates how they look so that means that Garmont is doing something right. Ha ha...right. No really, I wear them for spite as much as comfort. I am a size 12. I bought 13s and they are perfect. So... Read More

great durable boot but i am having an issue with the width.. i have very narrow size 12 feet and i bought the 46. its working out but i still have some painful breakin days ahead

My assumption was that the Vetta would be like a high top Dragontail, but the quality and fit of the Vetta falls way short. The design lacks ankle support and the heel liner will soon be shredded.

I ordered these boots for a 100 mile walk along Scotlands west highland way. when i stuck my feet into them i noticed a bit of pinch along my pinky toes. after a pretty short break in period though, i was walking 15 miles a day across all sorts of terrain and weather. not a single blister!! these boots held up really well and i look forward to putting a lot more miles onto these. they are pretty well waterproofed, but if your feet are sweating you'll be soaked anyway. they arent all too breathable, but i suppose if you wore thin enough socks? or didnt have feet that sweat? it would probably be fine. no other complaints though.

Garmont has a similar low top boot that I bought and find works very well as an approach shoe and for less than arduous long hikes. I thought this might work well for it's intended uses, high alpine environs. Sadly the forefoot is extremely narrow with a very tight toe box. I tried re lacing to give me more room to no avail. I have several pair of Garmont boots so I'm surprised they won't work for me.
