The #12 Madame fishes well in the afternoons, I've caught some wall-hangers with this pattern.

A great attractor fly and indicator fly for tandem and three-fly rigs. Only problem with these is they are individually tagged, and it is a minor pain to remove them. If there was a quarter star option that's what I'd dock these.

Spring is just around the corner. Bream and Blue gill will be bedding and the Madam X is a great fly for panfish.

When Lee Wulff stated "If it is buggy and the fish are hungry, they'll bite it." I have used this and many other oversized unrelated bugs during huge caddis hatches. I caught fish on everything I through and repeated the same space over and over. Don't get hung up on hatches.
