Felt like it was a good deal for a good jacket. They did put permanent ink on the inside near zipper that said it was a 2nd, so wish that wasn't there. But, for the price the value is definately there. These are work jackets, so hopefully when they look good with no visible defects you don't get too uptight. Love mine.

    Firstly, the jacket:

This is my first Carhartt. I am impressed with, and thankful for, the quality of this jacket. It meets all of my criteria:

    1. Durable - I needed something that could take a beating. I commute a lot, with an overloaded backpack. I had ripped through my previous jacket, while putting my backpack on, so, I needed something that could withstand stress and abuse. The canvas material this jacket is made out of gives me the confidence that this jacket will last.

    2. Fitting and not bulky - This jacket fits perfectly, with enough room to layer, yet it isn't bulky with a lot of extra material to get bunched up under my backpack or whatever. I'm always on the move, so I didn't want a lot of extra material hampering my mobility. The cut is narrow, but still provides room to move around. Also, this jacket is light, compared to what I'm used to.

    3. Warm - I'm a wuss when it comes to cold. With a baselayer, and a t-shirt I can be comfortable on most winter days. I've only had it for a week, so I'm still trying to figure out how effective it is, but so far it's getting the job done! Also, knowing that I have room to comfortably layer underneath it is reassuring. The sherpa lining traps the body heat, and the canvas outer keeps the wind out.

    Secondly, STP:

I have never bought clothes online before, and STP made it a pleasant experience. The jacket came on time, and it was in good condition. The label was market 'irregular' but after inspecting the jacket, I could not find any obvious flaws; I noticed what may have been some misaligned stitching in the lining, but nothing that would render the jacket unwearable. So, I am thankful for that! STP has made it possible for me to buy a quality product that I would not have otherwise been able to afford. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I should have went with my hunch and bought the Large as Medium was a bit snug. Jacket was returned for a credit which will use when a large becomes available. Hopefully soon as would like to wear it ASAP. Sierra has a great return policy and makes it a pleasure to shop here. Thanks Sierra
