very happy STP carries manduka mats! i was not aware of this until they shipped me their latest catalog. it's light (~3.5 lb), non-slip, low-profile, and supportive. i accidentally mistook this as the superlite mat (2 lb, d'oh), but it's fine...this one is still reasonable for travel

I got this mat because the reviews stated it was a great sticky mat, no slipping even if very sweaty. My hands and feet slipped. I sweat. I think sweat needs to be qualified. I mean sweat rolling down your face, off your torso, down your arms onto your hands and feet - sweat. That' is sweaty. A little warmth and dampness and some beads of sweat is not what I mean. This mat is indeed sticky, but once the sweat gets going, you will still need to get your towel out. With my towel I was fine.
It is also very very thin. I have a solid yoga practice. Initially, I bought very thick mats because I was a beginner and liked the padding. I have whittled it down with time, but this one was very very thin. It is a travel mat, which would be thin. But my knees hurt . I am older so my knees have been around for a while. It was the first time I had to roll up the side of the mat and pad my knee. No big deal. But know this is a thin, travel mat.

This light weight quality mat offers perfect "stickiness" to any yoga pose. At this value it is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your mat. This is the mat I "haul" around. Word of caution, if you need extra cushion this may not be the mat for you. You can cut up your old mat and use a section to cushion your knees when needed. I love this mat and love this value.

I am not sure I've ever encountered a yoga mat that is this grippy! It's great! I do wonder a bit about the instructions that seem to caution washing it (i.e. 'do not submerge'). Does that mean I can't hose it off, or take it into the shower with me after a hot yoga class? Not sure what to make of that. But regardless, the mat is great!

So far so good. I do Power Vinyasa and find this mat works just fine. If you are looking for a thick mat, this isn't for you. I personally don't like thick mat, as I always have a yoga mat towel on top of my mat. The product seems very well made and durable.
