I just got it and haven't had the chance to wear it in pouring rain yet, but it fit as expected and seems to be very well made.

I ordered this from STP and it arrived quickly. I was impressed by the material, apparent durability, and appearance of the jacket. I'm confident it would have been an excellent jacket for my purposes, which is to wear skiing big, cold, snowy mountains. (It would not be a great rain jacket in my opinion.) However, it did not fit me; I'm 5'10" 195 lbs. and in between sizes on the Higgins. The Large was too long at the hip and sleeves and the medium was constrictive in my chest and shoulders. Bummer.

too heavy, wrinkles as a hardshell, returned to swap it for Haglofs

Just got a Bluebird Higgins Medium. I am really particular about my gear. Researched a lot of different softshell/shells. Was looking for something for VT backcountry and lift-serve.
Fit: I am 5'10.5" and 167ish pounds. I have a 40.5" chest relatively longer legs and shorter torso. The length is perfect (hits just about at the inseam of my pants). Former complaints about jacket about rising up too far when raising arms over head are not applicable to the new model (Couldn't get it to come up over my belt buckle). Fit has freeride style, but is not ridiculously baggy. Able to get my puffy Marmot Ama Dablam (medium) down jacket on underneath without looking like a stuffed sausage.
Design & Materials: The material is awesome; lightweight, stretchy, and seems unflappable. Seams, pockets, zippers are utilitarian works of art. Hood is like your own personal tent in a storm (I am picky about hoods. Pet peeve are "compatible" hoods that won't fit over a ski helmet). The Bluebird color is really nice as well. More of a powder blue than the electric color in the pictures.
Performance: Have only had a chance to use it once. Took it on a quick hard charging tour up a steep grade (can hit maximum heart rate in about the first 5 minutes) and it performed well. I expected it to be soaked on the inside when I was done for it being 20/20, but it wasn't bad at all. The thin brushed layer did a great job dissipating wet spots. Kept me protected from hard snowfall and moved with me effortlessly (no noisy crunching associated with hardshells).
Can't speak highly enough about quality to cost ratio. Was looking at similar Patagonia shells, but with those priced $490 at 30% off, the Higgins makes them seems like a joke. I am also concerned about social/environmental responsibility. Great to see the Made with Love in China tag on the inside. Flylow seems to be doing things right.
