Sweet jacket for all season climbing, backpacking and other outdoor pursuits. Wear it all day and it blocks wind, repels rain and regulated temperatures well across 40-60 degrees over a baselayer. I dropped one star becase the jacket, while water resistant, isn't all that great in heavy weather, but otherwise a good product. I even used the hood in the rain, something I rarely do. The jacket is shy one interior breast pocket but otherwise is a good product, and good value at STP sale prices.

Sweet jacket for all season climbing, backpacking and other outdoor pursuits. Wear it all day and it blocks wind, repels rain and regulated temperatures well across 40-60 degrees over a baselayer. Main body is durable, unlined soft shell; shoulders are lined with R1 type low profile grid fleece. The unlined fabric allows for all season use and the lining on the shoulder adds a bit of warmth and substance where snow, rain and pack straps would bear down, keeping it from getting droopy. Haven't seen this smart use of body mapped, variable fabrics in other soft shell jackets.

The large fit me well at 5'10", 200 lbs with a 43" chest and 35"; leaves just enough room for a couple of layers. Love the tailored, fit, modern design, durability, materials, superb quality and dark green aqua color.. subtle but unique. I have a dozen softshells from many brands, but like this one the most for actual backcountry use.

Love this jacket so far. Nice soft, breathable material. I'm 5'10" and got the large at first but it was too big. Exchanged for the medium which fits just right. The large, helmet compatible hood may be a bit bulky for people who have no need for that feature but I like it as this will get used for some spring skiing and climbing.

Bought this Jacket to be my new spring jacket for travel. I was kind of interested in the fact it seemed to be kind of a "tech sweatshirt" from what I could tell. I ordered an XL my chest being just above the L measurements. This was good as I needed the room in the back. However, the front is a little bulky but acceptable. What I could not get myself to accept (though I truly wanted to) was the hood. I see the trend to have these "helmet hoods" but the hood on this jacket is so large I could pull the front down my face to my neck. I wear a size 7 5/8 hat (that is big). The hood while it hangs down your back looks almost like a day pack. So after considering the fact I would probably not wear it very often due to its strange appearance I decided to send it back. If you are planning on doing some Spring/fall activity where you will be wearing a helmet you will love this jacket if you just want one for chasing off a damp chill on your way out for the evening/morning you may want to look into a different one
