I purchased these shoes to replace another pair of Keen Slip-ons. I had heard that the newer Keens ran a little smaller than they used to, so I was very happy that I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal for Keeens (I'm size 12 men's but usually wore 11.5 in Keens... The 12s are perfect!)

I love the style of these - impeccably made, solid, smoothly rounded form with a chunky tread and keen's trademark mud-lump toe. I don't understand the complaint about the quality of leather - it looks great and I believe they're built to last - certainly my other keen products have endured like tanks, though only time will tell (another reviewer has reported problems). But the sizing is definitely poor... I have a very wide size 8 foot, so that I always buy size 8-1/2, and even then need it fairly wide. Knowing these ran narrow, I got size 9, and STILL they're quite tight in the front (while the heel sits loose). I wore them in with heavy socks and despite remaining quite snug I'm keeping them - I love them that much.

So, highly recommended to those with narrow feet!

    Best. Contractor. Work. Shoe. Ever.
Buy more. Save some for later. Or buy none in size 9 so I can buy out the inventory and have enough for the next 20 years.

I usually wear an 8 in men's shoes, but I've found with Keens I need an 8 1/2. These were tight at first but are perfect after a day of wearing. Nice looking and comfortable!

Caution: do not expect a rich full grain leather. These seem like they're made of a lightweight cardboard. I own many pairs of Keen shoes and boots-about the only shoe left on Earth that I can wear without squeezing my wide feet. I hope this is not the direction of Keens of the future. The toe box is much narrower than previous models. But, that said, this is just one that didn't work for me. I have many other pair that I have coveted over the years. This pair paled in comparison to my other in quality and fit. Keens still do rule tho'....
