LOVE this comforter! Have purchased others at more expense to be disappointed with the quality. Most are made with barrier stitching to control the shifting of the down. Barrier stitching allows the down to eventually shift to the outer edges and thins in the middle. This comforter will never do that since it is stitched completely, square to square of down! Plenty of soft, warm, puffy down in it too! Compressed due to packing, made me afraid I would be disappointed again, but 15 min. in the dryer on fluff and it came to life! (note: you need a large capacity dryer) I had a surprise when getting it out, was harder than getting it in! Belk, Sears, Burlington, J.C.Penny.....none of their comforters were what I expected for the money I spent there. Will not be doing it again!
It is a 600 fill power down comforter, it is filled with 39 oz. of down fill.

So "fill weight" refers to the amount of down used in ounces. The "down number" or "fill power" ultimately refers to the quality and size of the down clusters used. The higher the number the more fluffy the down will be.
