A nice addition to your 72 hour or bug-out kit. Knife is plenty sharp and the firesteel is locked-in to the knife handle. Typical functional plastic knife sheath, not exciting but it does the job. I received this knife... it's a pretty short blade... looks more like a paring knife to peel apples with, but if you are camping, that might just come really in handy. I have not had the opportunity to use it yet, but it also has other uses such as splitting kindling and lighting a fire and that makes this a must have tool if you are a camper.

Got this knife for hiking & backpacking. It is the perfect compliment to my Swiss Army Huntsman. I really like having the fire steel right with the knife. I got the orange one. Its high visibility is why I still have it after countless adventures. The plastic sheath is sturdy, sheds water through the hole in the bottom and the blade was razor sharp right out the box and is still sharp. I've carved wood and roast chicken with it. I've used it with a baton on small logs to make kindling and even shaved finer pieces for tinder. It is great for most things that a back woods adventure can throw at you. It's also very good in the kitchen at home. What more can I say, I will buy another in bright green!
In the interest of science, I filled up the kitchen sink and found the following for the Light-My-Fire-Swedish-Fireknife:
Sheath by itself: Floats
Knife by itself: Sinks
Knife + Fire Steel together: Sinks
Knife+ Fire Steel + Sheath: Sinks
Hope this helps!
