I have wide feet, so I was hopeful these Chaco Shoes would work and they do.
I tried both my regular size and 1/2 up. The regular size was a nice snug fit, the 1/2 up was loose in the heel.
Even thinking of getting the boots!

I will be putting the miles on these shoes! Very comfortable and I can lace them up tight and they stay laced. I am hoping these leather shoes will wear better than some of the super-light, fabric-style, light hikers that I have been buying. Loved my little Keen booties, but have already shredded them. Not sure if the tread will be sturdy enough, but so far I am really liking these shoes. Also, I like the sturdy, old-school look. I have to admit I bought the high top version of these and haven't gotten them dirty yet, ha ha wearing them as my "good" hiking shoes. I live in Santa Fe, so fashion is a very individual thing.

I already purchase these shoes in brown a few months ago and they fit absolutely amazing. So I went back and purchase them again in a different color. It's hard to explain the color but try to picture a graying army green. The color alone sucked but I knew the comfort would be superior. Boy was I wrong. They are of no comparison to the brown Chaco Tedinho Shoes. They arrived pretty scuffed up and stretched out of shape. Someone must have worn these around the house for a while before deciding to return them. I sprayed Murphy Oil Soap on the shoes to remove the scuff marks. Normally these shoes run a half size too large so I purchased a size 9 like I did with the brown pair. This fit on these shoes is just a tad bit smaller than the previous purchase. I will only be able to wear thin socks with these shoes. I regretfully kept the shoes because I'm so tire of returning items. C'est la vie!

Rather than a boot, this shoe was going to be my "walk through wet slush and packed down snow" when
out and about shopping. No vents or places where wet snow will leak through. However, my right
foot didn't like how tight this shoe was (size ten). Probably true to size, and an excellent shoe, but
had to send it back.

Needed winter shoes with more water resistance than my spring hikers and found these for a great price on STP. They are comfy and surprisingly warm and work well on rainy days. The style is attractive enough and I don't mind the color for such a great price, but I wasn't particularly thrilled with the fit. I am another reviewer with the duck-feet/wide toe box, narrow heel and knew the Chacos would be great in the toe box, but I didn't think they'd be quite so wide in the heel. The length is right (maybe a bit large) and the fit is comfortable when I'm standing in them, but even wearing socks with extra padding in the heels, my feet pop out often when I move in them. Since these are shoes and not boots, I have to have the lacing very snug all the way to the top and double tie them to keep the shoes on when walking briskly. I didn't plan on doing anything particularly active in these but the fit definitely limits their use to walking around the neighborhood.
