Lovin' my new Chacos, getting them broken in for a trip to Belize in 2 weeks. They have such great arch support and structure, compared to regular "flip flops," even some of the better and pricier brand names. I had to agree with most reviewers, tho, that they tend to run slightly small. I usuall... Read More

Very comfortable sole. Webbing straps could use a thicker material to hold shape better.

This is the 5th pair of Chaco's that I have purchased over the past month. I bought these over OluKai's due to their better fit for me. The have great arch support and their very comfortable to walk in. I will only by Chaco sandals for now, or until someone make a better sandal for me.

I've never bought a pair of flip flops that required a break-in period. These are the most expensive flip flops I ever bought, so naturally I thought I could just slip into them and take off. I've had them for a little while now and they are finally starting to loosen up. The straps were really tight and you had to reach down to wrestle them onto your feet. Then the bottoms were so stiff, you felt like you were wearing 2x4 lumber. At least now I can stand up and slip into them. The bottoms only loosened up after I bent them where they should bend a few times (not too much bending since I didn't want to ruin them).

Sadly, if I buy another pair, I'll probably go down to Wal-Mart and buy those cheap ones that you can just slip on and take off! :-P Because of that fact, I would not recommend these, but hey! They are on close-out so there probably won't be anymore available! LOL

    I am normally 10.5.

I ordered a size down as advised by ST.

Way too small. I should have ordered a size up.

    Good otherwise, but returned.

First Pair of Chaco Flip Flops, I do I own a pair of boots that I really like, fit is acurate and the sole is non slip- great for the boat. these replace a pair of Reef Sandals that my sons dog ate, and I Prefer the fit of the Chaco to Reef. the toe straps on the Reef stretched too much.

    • Answer There are all kinds of conversion charts available to determine what size you need to select. Not sure if Chacos has one specifically for their own products. Typically, a woman needs to subtract 1 1/2 to 2 sizes from her shoe size to find the men's size she would wear. Here's a link to one site out of about 10 that came up in a simple search: http://www.shoesize.com/women-to-men-converter/ Hope this helps.

    • Answer If you are a full 9.5, you need the 8. I am a 9, with a thick instep, and had to return the men's 7 for the 8...be aware that all the weight of this substantial thing is on the straps...

    • Answer I am sorry, I am not sure what the conversion might be. They are great sandals though!

    • Answer My understanding is women wear one or more size smaller in a men's shoe. When it runs to Chacos specifically, they run wide to begin with and my daughter usually wears a mens 8 wide sneaker or sandal, she wears a 7 M in men's Chacos. I think they're all M width, which is quite wide.So I'd guess you need to go down at least one full size. Chacos don't come in half sizes, so you should try a size 8 mens. I usually order 2 sizes when ordering a shoe I haven't worn before. It'll cost you the $ 6 or $7 return shipping charge using their label but it's worth it.
