Our other tent is a marmot lime lite 3 person for backpacking, just big enough for us and our two dogs. This tent is huge the four of us can all stretch out and not come in contact with each other all night.

First time to use this amazing tent and we had 50 mph wind gust for several hours! This tent held up while our friends tent poles were shredded! This tent is HUGE and accommodated our queen size air mattress with room for a twin for our son and still floor space left for our gear! The vestibule is also big enough for our chairs (folded up not out for sitting), camp tub with all cooking supplies, a few bags of groceries and room to move around and not trip on everything! We used a tarp to cover the ground and will do that again just to trap all the dirt and not trek it inside the tent.
We LOVE this tent and getting it for >50% off through Sierra Trading Post makes it a BIG bargain!
I would not recommend this as a backpacking tent though it is HEAVY! And not a one man tent took the two of us to assemble.

Huge camping tent with an absolutely ginormous vestibule. It's almost entirely mesh (before you put the rain fly on), which provides for excellent ventilation and opportunity for star gazing. You can easily stand up in the tent, and there will still be room above your head (I am 6').

However, I was unlucky enough to receive the tent with a problematic circular pole. Too bad it went back.

Other than that, this is an excellent tent.

Great wide open no privacy tent. With the rain fly, that is difficult to put on, you get a lot more room and privacy. This tent needs a lot of ground space...too big for the two of us, taking it back.

You've been there - two days of torrential rain and gale force winds and water level is getting into the vestibule. And you're worried about your comfort, right? No need to worry with this tent!! Despite the all mesh tent body (scary right?), this tent really held up. The second trip out was one day of hard rain and the tent held up again. I'm happy with this tent! It has a number of features (like cup holders in the larger vestibule, the vestibule is large enough for two chairs, and almost anyone can stand up in it!) that make it quite cozy even in bad weather.

Downsides? Only one. It's hard for me to put by myself. It's the largest tent I've ever owned and the height and size make the rain fly hard to handle alone, especially in wind. So bring a friend!
