Warm, cozy warm if moving around...and soft. incredible quality that is expected from Hagloff. I am looking for something to wear cross country skiing in negative F temperatures. This would have worked as my outer layer if it was just a bit more form fitting. I bought a small, I am 5'3 and 120 lbs.. For a taller person or if looking to backpack, it may fit perfectly without the excess puffiness. The lower toggles do draw in a bit however it billows out on me. I loved how warm it seems. I did not get to try it out so I can't say how breathable it is. The fabric is a high quality wind proof fleece that is so soft to the touch. The excessive material will definitely interfere with my arms while Nordic skiing. I may try the XS if they have it but SIerra has the best selection of nordic skiing and running jackets so I am sure I can find one that will work for me

This is a great jacket provided one's neck is a little longer or shorter than mine. When I zip the collar all the way up, the top abrades the tip of my chin. The fit is comfortable to wear under a back pack w/ hip belt. Everything's well made and truly wind stopping The hood fits snug around the face so it won't get blown off one's head in a gust. Fleece isn't as soft or as fluffy as I would have liked, . The model only zips as high as the stiffer-than-I'd-choose material will go. without the collar top standing straight up and abrading under one's chin. I'm 5'3" tall, 94 lbs. with standard proportions. The scratchy neck & stiff material make this an impossible jacket for me.
