This is a beautiful suit with wonderful fabric and details. I love the understated mini-check pattern. The coat fits perfectly. But I foolishly did not check the cut of the pants before ordering. These are flat-front and a bit unforgiving on space in the legs/seat. Doesn't *quite* work for me right now.

As with most things SIerra, the price (compared to retail) after applying an extra 40% off coupon was AMAZING.

So, I'll hang onto it for a bit and see whether -- as I gear up for another marathon -- this suit will fit me well enough to keep.

    I recently bought a Hickey-Freeman coat from Sierra -- also a bargain -- and it's been a fantastic addition.

I own a good number of Hickey Freeman suits and sport coats. Of course, some of their patterns are too wild for my taste, but they also have more conservative patterns, such as this mini check charcoal suit. The reason I keep coming back to the brand is because the fit and finish are among the best of any suit out there. (I also greatly appreciate STP offering them at terrific prices!)

Do keep in mind that Hickey's do not conform to the skinny suit trends favored by Italians. (I have some Italian suits so I'm not being critical). But, these are exceptional for a modern American fit and I find they're as well made as any out there, including big names like Armani (which I personally find are overrated and don't fit me as well).

A 40R fits me with no major tailoring needed. They are incredibly comfortable, and add they last. I have a couple of Hickeys that are now 20 years old and they still look fine, even though the styling is no longer current (full pleats, hard/full shoulder pads). But, it's not because they look shabby or threadbare. Far from it, they've outlasted any other brand I've owned.

So, I'm a big fan. And, with STPs offerings of the brand, no need to shop for lessor quality suits that cost more.
