The suit was disappointing. It was labeled as 44R, which is my size, but the jacket did not come close to fitting me, being tight under the arms and through the shoulders. The shoulders were padded, which is not normal for my other Hickey Freeman suits. The seam work also appeared to be poor. There was no point in trying on the pants.

However, even if the suit had fit, I think that I would have been disappointed. It was a great price, if the suit had truly been of what I think of as Hickey Freeman quality. But it was not. There are other opportunities to buy lesser quality suits of other brands.

This the second time I have ordered a Hickey Freeman product. I am pleased with the fabric, fit and construction of the suit. It is well tailored. However one button was out of line on the suitcoat. My tailor said there would be no problem correcting it. This is a great value.

The 42 jacket fit, but a bit constricting for him, so he kept the 44. the 44 will need just a little tailoring to take in the back, and of course, hem the pants which fit perfectly. Summary, this suit runs true to size, and maybe a little to the smallish end of the marked size as his older 44 suits are too big. This suit screams quality. If you want an expensive suit for a reasonable price, find a HF on ST that you love, buy it...worth every penny!

This suit looks better in person than on-line. Great addition at a good price. Sizing was good.
