Fabric is ok, fit is poor. I am a medium/small and the small is baggy in all the wrong places.

Love the material, definitely would keep you cool but runs big so I sent it back. I'm 5'8" and I ordered the small and it was noticeably too big for me. Sleeves too long and kind of baggy. Other than that it's a great shirt.

Columbia sizing is so screwed up! Every time i buy something from them it is always either too big or too small. this shirt fit my husband but was meant for my daughter so luckily it didnt have to be returned. nice shirt just beware of sizing issues.

I like these shirts. Columbia shirts tend to run on the large side so if your getting these and you normally take a large, a med will probably be fine.

I have several of the PFG shirts (new & old). I think that the older models are better made and have more features than the new models. The new models have no cuffs, so I am constantly pulling the sleeves up to the point where they are now stretched out of shape. The old models have cuffs that prevent the sleeves from sliding on to your hands, plus the older models have a binding and yoke at the neck that prevents the neck from stretching.

I would recommend buying for anyone needing sun protection.

    • Answer Very lightweight material.

    • Answer Steve,
I received this email from STP today asking if I could offer any helpful information and I can, but only in a general manner.
I had purchased a shirt made from this material, but have not yet worn it. I tried it on today for the first time.

Unlike the Sun Freeze shirts I also purchased, this does not have the silky feel, nor is it "slim fit". It is full bodied and like
most Columbia shirts it feels like a half size larger than marked.

No problem for me, because I wear these shirts under a long sleeved shirt with collar and pockets.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that the shirt has a distinctive weave pattern, sort of a texture. Like all of these synthetic
materials, it could be prone to "pulls / snags"?

Good price, good manufacturer, good retailer. Living in South Florida,I own a collection of functional UVF/SPF clothing for days in the boat.

This shirt is heavy for a synthetic shirt, but should wick well.

      Good Luck

    • Answer These are midweight shirts, but very breathable & comfortable. I highly recommend them!

    • Answer Although I cannot give you the oz./per yard weight, I would consider these to be mid-weight shirts. I would recommend ordering two sizes down as they seem to be labeled incorrectly. I wear a large 42-44 and found the small in this shirt to fit perfectly. Hope this helps.

    • Answer I bought this shirt and have been asked to respond.
while I have not weighed the shirt, it is light to wear, The material protects from the sun, yet is cool and comfortable on a warm (80s) and sunny day.

  • Question “Is this true to size? Length in the sleeves and bottom?”
Asked on 3/20/2014 9:41:21 PM by Jake from USA
    • Answer Length runs a little loose and long, body runs true to size. If you like a loose fit like I do order a size larger than that of a dress shirt otherwise stick with your regular size is what I would do.

    • Answer the shirts fit true to size. they are designed to fit loosely. if you wear UPF clothing you won't be disappointed with this shirt

    • Answer Hey Guys, I wear an X-Large in everything. This PFG Skiff-- I bought size Large and fits loose with room on the sleeves and length. Good thing I didn't order x-large and take everyone's advice. Thanks, have a good one.

    • Answer In the video from STP that is what it will look like when you down size from your regular size that you wear. Unless you are really tall 6'4 plus or have a pot belly, then you order this in your regular size. Hope this helps.
