I tried a bunch of different smartwool socks until I found these, and they are just right. Smartwool runs small. I wear a women's size 9.5 shoes, and medium does not fit me at all. Large is the right size. Theses are very warm and comfortable. I think I will go back and order more because they are s... Read More

Love these socks, perfect for skiing. I am a size 10, ordered large.

I didn't see anywhere in the description when I bought these that they were irregular socks. I noticed after I put them on that they have a big stamp of IRREGULAR on them. I feel misled.

I gave these socks as a gift, have not been worn yet as they're ski socks. I'm basing this review on past personal experience; launder & dry. Comfortable! I use Smartwool for hiking also. Have base layers ~ all good.

I WILL be getting another pair of these. First time I have these so don't know how they last when washing. Love the compression they have, they would become my everyday sock, EASILY!!! Very nice on the bottom of the foot, warm and comfy....all I need!! They are knee socks too!!

    • Answer According to our fit models this item is running true to size.

    • Answer I went and tried them on for you, and they are fine. I would not get them if you have wide calves, because I have average calves and I would not want them any tighter. The foot is fine, plenty big. I don't know if my review says what size I bought, but I have a size 9-1/2 foot, and I usually follow the charts for ordering. I have about a half dozen pair of smart wool socks, mostly bought from STP, and they are usually fine for fit. If you have larger calves, I would recommend the unisex styles, or men's, but for men's check the chart and get 1-1/2 sizes smaller than your woman's size.

    • Answer I need to add to my answer. I looked it up, and I ordered size large and I'm a size 9-1/2 shoe, but usually always buy a size 10 in boots because I wear them with socks.
