These are perfect, if you are a skier or not, they keep you warm and do cover your calves. This is the first time I have ordered a SmartWool sock and now understand why they are so expensive, except we love SierraTradingPost.com because of the deals! I hope you love these as much as I do. These are really cool, lightweight, perfect socks for just about any occasion in the fall/winter. I bought these last winter, and they didn't have the Imperfect stamp, but when I bought them this year, they have the stamp. So it's probably a roll of the dice whether you get good ones or 2nds.

I love these socks, and I get them whenever they are in stock in size medium or large. Wish STP would get more!

These are cute socks and are the typical high quality wool customers expect from Smartwool. As titled, they are ultralight, making them a thinner sock. That makes them great for wearing in dress boots or shoes. I wouldn't suggest these for skiing or snowboarding, but they would fit nicely under ice skates or fitted boots.

I love SmartWool, though I wish they had a larger size (I am 5'11" and wished for a longer and wider leg). But these are great socks!

Beautifully made thin ski sock that goes almost to the knee on me (5'4"). No extra padding. Ribbing across foot and just above ankle.
The design on the black is nice and like the burgundy color scallop on the top edge. Do not much care for the salmon color of the bird and the neon yellow of the detail lines. Otherwise very nice.
