I reviewed these earlier - had to return the first pair due to a flaw in the leather. They finally got my size back in stock so I took a shot and ordered another pair. WOW! I was so glad I did. The first time I wore these boots was an all day Christmas shopping trip. They were so comfortable. I wear... Read More

I had to order a 1/2 size up, but they fit my wide feet well and are very comfortable. They are made of a high quality leather and worked well for a recent trip to Jackson Hole where I wore them with skinny jeans and also with a dressier outfit; the boots looked great for both. I look forward to wearing these all fall and into the winter and they look like they will last for years.

Purchased these for motorcycling & love them. Very comfortable for my wide feet & very nice quality. The price is always right at Sierra Trading!

I have foot & boot issues..lol. Generally only wear Boulets or Corrals. Hesitantly ordered these fully expecting to have to return them. Put them on...they fit like a glove...and I have wide feet! Wore them for a couple hours, having older shoes along so I could change when my feet started to hurt. Never happened. These are great boots! Thank you

I finally found the perfect boot! I've searched for many years and tried many different boots and companies to find these. They must be seconds because first pair I got had a wonky zipper and the foot bed dug in, but they were so pretty I decided to try again and exchange them for a smaller size, just in case I lucked out. I did! Sierra Trading Post has a great (and inexpensive!) return policy, they gave me immediate credit and I was able to get these in a 7. I normally wear a 7.5 wide calf but these fit perfectly. The whole process took four days from first order to getting the replacement to my door, which is super fast. These boots have that wonderful, good quality leather smell and feel, but they must have been squashed pretty good because they have some deep folds in the leather by the arch in one (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars), but it isn't noticeable as soon as I put them on. The zippers were stiff, so I put a little zipper wax on them and then they zipped easily. They were also a little stiff to wear at first, so I wore them around the house barefoot for a couple of hours, and no kidding they formed to my foot! I wore them all the next day, to two jobs where I'm on my feet and up and down a lot, and out to a nice dinner, they were totally comfortable, and no pain the next day either, what a great boot. Love, love, LOVE!! So glad I discovered Sonora's, highly recommend!!

These boots were poorly made. The zipper didn't work on the left boot and the right boot was a full size smaller than the right. And the counter on the heel was bent inward so it dug into the side of my heel. These must be seconds or something but it cost me $22 to have them shipped and to return them and I feel ripped off my Sierra Trading. I have bought a lot of things from them before but this might be my last purchase considering the cost of ordering and returning a defective product!

  • Question “What is the difference in color between Black and Black cow? ”
Asked on 8/9/2015 5:04:13 PM by thomasjnj from michigan
    • Answer Not much difference in color, really, the Black Cow had more waxy white stuff on it (rubs off I assume, did not try) and the leather was a little stiffer. I love these boots, I put Leather Honey on them and have worn them a whole lot since they came in a few months ago, they are still beautiful, as well as durable and comfortable. I have these in black and now brown. Love them!!
Answered on 8/9/2015 8:17:11 PM by Denver DD from Colorado
    • Answer I have the black pair, but I'm thinking that the black cow is more like a charcoal. If you plan to purchase these boots I'm sure you'll love them. I had a hard time finding my size, because I generally wear an 8 In the Sonora I need the 7.5. Wish I knew more about the color, but the quality of the boot in any color is very good.

Answered on 12/8/2013 4:13:31 AM by tngirl from tennessee
    • Answer The strap is sewn in on the side where the zipper is, and the metal stud is not a snap, but just a kind of rivet attachment, so the answer is no, unless you had a shoe repair store remove it permanently.
Answered on 12/8/2013 1:34:22 PM by catdiva from ohio
    • Answer The strap is not removable and it's a false snap. The strap moves it is attached in the front and back on either side of the zipper.
