Purchased these for an eight day bike tour in France riding 30-50 miles per day. While I wanted comfort in the saddle, I was doing lots of sightseeing, cafe-hopping, church visiting and wanted to avoid the spandex look. I am pleased with the quality. I like the lower leg fit of this short.
True to size, fit, and quality of other Pearli shorts.
The pad is an Mtb so is thicker. Beware it could bunch up and chaff.
If you want a thicker pad liner for your cycling this is a great product for you.

These have the manufacturer's tag on the outside of the back seam, clearly intended to be covered by another layer. They are also thin, indicating they are a liner only. I am not sure how some people wear liners alone. They are well made, good length and moderate grip.

While I wanted comfort in the saddle, I was doing lots of sightseeing, cafe-hopping, church visiting and wanted to avoid the spandex look. I wore these shorts under loose hiking pants and they worked great. These shorts are meant to fit snuggly - when I had mine on you could not tell that I had biking shorts under my regular pants. I am 130 lbs, 5'4" and pear shaped. I typically wear a size 6 pant. The medium in these short worked well for me - snug, but if you're closer to a size 8 you may want to go with a Large.

I got these in hopes to wear regular capri leggings over them on the bike. I got them and loved the way they looked. I was hoping to get lots of wear out of them. I ordered an XL. I had ordered the XL in the Sugar capris and they fit ok. I got these and I couldn't even pull them up my thighs. The top part would have fit too. So I assume you can't have bigger thighs for these. Mine sure didn't fit in them. I am holding on to them though. Maybe when I lose the weight on our Two Tubbies Cyclling America tour I will fit in them one day.

These shorts have so much padding that when not on a bike, it looks like your wearing an adult diaper. so if padding is your priority, these would be great.
