I've owned a Marmot Precip and a high-end Sierra Designs jacket. This jacket came at a much lower ticket price (with nice STP discounts), but the quality and features seem like a better value for the dollar. I have not tested the jacket in rain, so that may be a let down- if so I will revise my rati... Read More

I ordered this jacket for my husband. He is very pleased with it. My only complaint is that it sounds "crinkly". The fabric is more plastic like rather than fabric-like....but hey, after all, it is a rain jacket.

This jacket was exactly what I was looking for . My visit to Italy in May requires a rain jacket. I don't like full raincoats. They are too cumbersome. This is great. It looks good . feels good and keeps the rain our.

Pros: waterproof, fit is not bulky or baggy but still allows 100% movement

Cons: not lined with anything not even mesh, quite loud rustling when moving

This jacket is like a well-constructed rain poncho that someone might try to sell you if you're a tourist caught in the rain. Very stiff fabric. This seems like it'll keep you dry, so if being dry is the only comfort concern you have, this could work well. It's nothing like the quality of the low end Marmot rain jackets, which are much more comfortable and move with you better.

Bought this to wear as a shell over a warm (for DC-area) winter jacket. Works well, kept dry for a couple hour hike in light to medium rain (with rain pants as well). Haven't had it very long, can't comment on durability yet. So far it's been a great deal.
