The description is accurate about soft and flexible. If your foot is a little wide the side lacing may rub. I solved the problem for my right foot by using small strips a moleskin on the inside to cover the laces and now they are perfect shoes/ slippers.

Well made and comfortable for me, but I have a narrow foot. I took other's advice and ordered 1/2 size up. The sole is very narrow, so I would not recommend to anyone with wide feet.

Well made but kind of stiff. I use them for house shoes and they work good when I have to run outside with the dogs. Was hoping for a bit more comfort but they are not bad.

I took STP's advice and ordered 1/2 size up, a 9.5 in tan and red. They both say they are 9.5, but the tan fits like an 11. I can stick a whole fist behind my heel before my toes are touching the end. Not even a thick sock could some close to making these right. The red fits true to size, like a 9.5-- ie, a 1/2 size too big for me,and visibly so. And I think they're likely to stretch and get bigger as they wear.

But they are kinda cute, and just what I need to do double duty for knockarounds and slippers with a sole. So I reordered down in both colors. I got 9 and 8.5 in the tan, since the 9.5 were SO big. While the 9 seemed more narrow across the ball of my foot and wider at the ankle, there was not a lot of discernible difference in fit between these two. Neither one was small. In fact, the best overall fit on my size 9 feet was the 8.5! There is actually a thumb width between my big toe and the end of the shoe.

I also reordered the reds in a 9, thinking the 9.5 was only a bit too big. In this case the length of the 9 was only slightly smaller than the 9.5, but like the tan 9, it was also narrower across the ball of my foot -- making the some badly tied off stitching dig into the side of my foot uncomfortably. Maybe the 8.5 would be the best fit in these, too,. But I'm thinking of just adding a substantial full insole to the 9.5 to take up the extra space and add some much needed support in these typical, no support mocs.

So based on the 5 pairs I tried, at best these are sized inconsistently, but not too small by any measure.

Bought these for my wife as a simple pair of house shoes - within one day the stitching around the sides started to unravel. They also run very narrow - beware if you need a wide size - these probably won't work for you. Returned these the next day.
