This rates the adorable adjective because it's small. And it's supposed to be, and the size listed in the description is correct. This is akin to the tea pots that are used in England. The hot water should be prepared on the store, then poured into this at the table. Then you pour the tea out during breakfast, or even high tea! It's heavy duty enough that you could put it on a burner, but I won't use it that way. It deserves to be set out on the table where everyone can see. The tea strainer that is inside the lid is super heavy-duty, with small holes. Not much loose tea will escape into the pot.

I am not easily parted from my money, but I love brewing loose leaf tea and have longed for an insulated tea pot that will last forever and does not have the maintenance issues of cast iron. This is it and it is gorgeous! Super easy to clean. Treated myself to this luxury when I was able to get a great deal from ST and have been enjoying it everyday since. LOVE ST!

Heats well on stovetop. You never "boil" water for tea since it should brew at 170 to 208 degrees depending on the type of tea. Strainer is great for all leaf teas. Happy camper.

the wmf design is as expected, great | this unit should not be used as a tea kettle but tea pot!

Pros, this would be a beautiful tea kettle for decoration, but it is not functional. First, it is very a small, probably holds two cups, and when you fill it, the water boils and literally 'squirts' all over your stove, awful. Sending this back and keeping my older kettle.
