It fell completely apart the first time that I tried to use it. There are two layers of fabric and the top layer was held to the frame with a single stitch. When I opened the umbrella the first time, more that half the stitches on the upper layer came undone.Im pretty mechanical and had a little trouble putting it back together the next day. I have restitched it and I think it should work pretty well but only after the fight.

I walk a half a mile to and from work every day in coastal city. The London Fog golf umbrella arrived the day before a wild thunderstorm blew in from the Gulf of Mexico. Winds were blowing 35 MPH and the umbrella did not invert and its deep arch kept my upper half dry. The wind was blowing the rain so hard that I had to go back inside and put on my rain paints to keep my legs dry. The umbrella is stoutly made, has a deep, wide arch that allows the umbrella to be pulled down over my head (with cowboy hat on) and give great rain protection to the upper torso. The price is unbeatable and the quality is top notch.
