I also have the pure connect connect. These shoes are less cushioned but have less drop, making them a better shoe for a runner looking for a minimalist experience. The toe box is very wide and comfortable allowing your toes to splay. These are a really good shoe for someone looking for a barefoot... Read More

did not get these for running- just wearing around as casual shoes - so I cannot speak to that - but they are super light and comfortable - and the most breathable shoes I have owned - like ever. Coming out of the grocery store on a windy day - I actually felt the wind on my feet. nice.

Loved the shoes and I was so disappointed that they were to wide and I had to return them. My wife has a pair and they are her favorite.

    I. Do not run (any more) so I bought these merely for knocking around. I gave them a try on a walk and was surprised to find that they worked very well for this purpose. I am 6'2", 310#, and have high arches. These shoes felt just fine on a 3 mile walk, and proved to have adequate arch support. I found that my stride was more upright than usual. That eliminated the lower back discomfort I usually experience on walks of several miles. The toe box is very roomy, and the rest of the shoe is snug on the foot. Even for those of us with high arches, the lacing system seems to work very well. As others have pointed out, these are very light weight. I am very pleased with them.

A very comfortable shoe. It is a little heavier in the heel than I am used to, switching from a Saucony Hattori. The size at 14 is true-to-fit.

Bought these as a pair of shoes to move into once my body adjusts to midfoot-strike running form, couldn't pass up because of the price. Rather than leaving them on the shelf for a year while my tendons adjust, though, I started using them for crossfit workouts. Mostly olympic lifts (for which you want good contact without a lot of give between feet and floor), and short runs. They are perfect. FYI these have the same size insole and (apparently) last as my old brooks transcend 12s, my newer brooks pure cadence, and most recent brooks pure flow. (all size 12.5).
