Great planter at a great price. A true "salad bowl"...this should accommodate my fall planting of greens, scallions, parsley etc. Love it!

I have the perfect spot for this. It's a very high quality bowl, with removable plugs for drainage.

I was thrilled when I opened this. It is quite large, but I love that it is not that tall. I worried that it might not be deep enough and that my flowers would dry out too quickly. Not so .... if fact, I think that the flowers stay hydrated even better as all the water doesn't sink to the bottom, leaving the top few inches dry. There are little plugs at the bottom, too, just so you know.
I saw a similiar pot at the local Menards. It was smaller and not as nice as these and it was 4x the price!

I had to come back and order more. I planted some begonias in one and presented it to a neighbor. She was thrilled and said that I shouldn't have spent so much...... little did she know what I really paid.

I love that these are close to the ground. Looks more natural.

A pot that would have cost me 3x as much elsewhere! Perfect on the deck for anything, even a few vegetables, because of its depth.

  • Question “Are there drain holes? Is there a base plate available?”
Asked on 9/21/2014 2:12:20 PM by BCfotos from Los Angeles, CA
    • Answer There are two plugged holes and those plugs are removable. There is no base plate.

I use mine outdoors, so I have removed those plugs and any excess water is allowed to drain out. If I were to use them say on my porch or a place were I would not want any excess drainage, then I would just leave the plugs in and water a bit more carefully.

These bowl planters are quite large which I love. They will take quite a bit of water and I find that I am not watering constantly.
