I wear this jacket running and it is super comfortable. The sleeves are long enough that I can pull them over my hands when I probably should have worn gloves. I subtracted a star because the sleeves don't provide any wind resistance, which makes it less versatile and narrows the range of conditions it is good for. The pockets are roomy, the hood is well designed, and the hobo gloves can't be beat. It is quickly becoming my go-to jacket.

seems to be well made. fit is not too snug and is comfortable to wear. arms are cut very long as there are thumb cut outs for the hands. not sure how well the primaloft will hold up under a heavy backpack.

Warm and snug, quite well for the temperature outside now (around 0 Deg Celsius) in Beijing.
I am 5'11, 176lbs, and select the size L. I can find some room to wear a shirt for the body and the arm.
But if a sweater, the body is still quite ok, but the arm would be too narrow to fit in. Anyway it is warm
enough to have only a shirt inside. Five stars!

Used this skiing in all the snow last weekend in CO. The thin hood was great to have under the helmet in all the wind and snow. Used it under a shell and was plenty warm though in extreme cold I would definitely add another insulating layer.

I was very excited to find this mid-layering piece in STP's closeouts; often many of these specialty garments are not available on sale anywhere due to their popularity and rather high, but fair, price for all the technical features included. As a STP item, the price makes this an excellent buy. That being said, this is a specialty layering jacket for aerobic activities in the winter, most often best under a hard-shell jacket for any snow sports. The well thought out features, from the minimalist hood (great under a helmet or stocking hat or just out of the way) to the stretchy polertec main fabric, the breathable underarm panels, the thumbhole hand gauntlets and the light, but functional primaloft insulated front. I originally ordered a large because I intended to wear it over a winter shirt, thinking the jacket to be " torso-tailored" (snug fit), however fitted, it runs true to size and the stretchy polartec in medium is a very comfortable form fitting for my size 42 chest. This is a specialty jacket for the active person in the cold; other more fleecey mid-layers would better suited to stationary/inactive winter activities, however for me this mid jacket is about as perfect as it gets! If you enjoy getting out in winter sports, buy this jacket for layering, you'll love it; I may just buy a second one for the future just in case Marmot decides to quit making them!
