Honestly the bag ended up looking a lot smaller than expected but works great! Stylish yet practical. Material seems like it'll serve me for a long time to come.

Was recommended to me by a friend with a fair amount of hiking / camping experience. He praised the highly-funcitonal design. I have to agree: it's water-resistant; lightweight; collapses well when you don't have a lot packed into it; expands well to provide more stowage; even has a plastic coating on the bottom so it can be set down on rough/wet ground with no concerns. Above all I like the way it sits and distributes weight. Even without the chest strap done up, it feels like it will be comfortable to wear for long periods. Once you get a bit of weight into it, it tends to lever backward at the top and forward at the bottom, placing weight against your hips while pulling back on your shoulders. This is much less fatiguing for the upper back and neck than wearing packs that distribute the weight as more of a downward force on your shoulders.

This pack is very well made, terrific size, and uses good quality materials. I looked at a lot of packs and this one was perfect for what I use a day pack to do. The two side pockets are adequate sized, the snow seal on the large center bag functions well, and the zippered pocket under the top flap is handy. I would prefer different shoulder straps than those supplied as the metal grommets don't seem to hold the buckly prong tight enough. They also make a little noise which bothers me a little. This is easy to fix so I would buy another one but wanted to let people know about it. Fjallraven makes a very good product. This is a great day pack but if you need to carry stuff for an overnight trip the larger 3 liter pack would be better.
