I wore these yesterday for a 90-minute ride. I wish they had a softer padding. With that said, I think it was a good buy. I really like the idea, and I think they are sort of low profile. It wasn't completely obvious that I had a padded liner on, so that may be preferable for some commuters. I thought they were totally comfortable, and I had not issues with them around my thighs (like others had mentioned). I wish they'd make more of these with a bit softer and more substantial padding.

I bought these in the same size I buy all of my short liners and found them to be small. The legs immediately rolled up and bunched in the crease there my leg meets my body, and the almost rubbery "PowerMesh" fabric proceeded to aggravate my skin as I moved. Even if these were a larger size, the material is unpleasant to this skin that is used to natural fibers like cotton and merino wool. Not a fan.

I have other bike shorts and they are so uncomfortable compared to these. I ride a bike for work (security), so I'm on and off a bike 7 to 8 hours a day. Between my uniform and other bike shorts I've tried things tend to ride up in the front. These are the only cycling shorts/chamois that don't have a seam running straight up the front center. They fit like underwear.
I am usually between a medium and larger (8 - 10). I have one pair in medium and one pair in large. The medium are tight around the leg, but for me that only lasted a few minutes. The large feels a bit loose in the butt.
I am so happy and comfortable with these I am buying more.
