I purchased this bag because I needed a packable multiseason bag with overlapping temperature options. This is definately the bag! I hammock tent with a Clark hammock (get one of these too!!) and this bag is a perfect combination with that hammock. I leave my cold season insulation sleeves in my hammock pockets and by using this Columbia bag, I can regulate my temperatures quite well by sleeping with my outer flap open for more cool night air to half zipping the bag and flap ect. I never felt sweaty or sticky in the bag and I was in nite shorts, short sleeve T shirt no socks. My temperatures have not been below the high 40's yet, but feel very confident that much lower temps will be no problem. Do like the practical instant warmth you feel when first entering to the bag.

I believe it is very packable, need to take the time to tightly roll and remove all air, but very doable with practice.

Only reason not a 5 star is the zipper....not a big deal, just not as smooth as I would like.....maybe they will slide smoother after use.

This bag was great! Took it on a trip into the foothills not long after getting it. Super light and packs well in the compression sleeve. I havent had a chance to test the temp rating on it but based on my use of it so far I could safely conclude that it would hold up well on much colder nights. Length was perfect for me (5'10"), plenty of room both in the feet and across the chest.

Roomy fit. Good seams. Hot like a burrito. Even has gear stash pocket on the outside. Nothing else of this quality available at this price.

My wife has always been a firm believer of the Omni-Heat product - has several base layers and a winter jacket that she wears whenever we're offf hiking. So with that, I thought I would give this bag a try. First thing - all sleeping bags manufacturers should supply compression sacks for their bags. Columbia supplies one - and yes, gotta work at getting the bag into it but it is a necessity for backpacking. It packs reasonably small. The fit is nice - for me, it was easy enough to turn over inside the bag - hood works well too without feeling claustrophopic. Has a nice little pocket - keep my ear plugs stored in it.
I haven't tested the bag to it's temperature rating but with all the bags I have owned over the years, I always go with a warmer bag then I really need. The temperature ratings are very subjective - so I camp in the mountains during the summer where it can get down to 5C at night - and my bag is rated to -9C. Simple as that and I do not expect my bag to keep me warm at -9C unless I start adding on layers.

Pleased with the bag - highly recommended at this price!!
