The winter started early here in the Midwest and fortunately for me, I was geared up and ready this go around. These "yaktrax" have a good fitting system to go around almost all boots/shoes. I can wear them with my athletic shoes and switch them to my combat boots. As the snow melts and ices over, ... Read More

They work, and they won't put holes in your floor like most.

These things deliver! I recently moved to the (snowy, icy) Berkshires and several new neighbors recommended these. Funny, but not a single person mentioned another brand or type. SO -- I ordered them and am glad I did. Now I can walk to my car without ski poles -- ha!

Black ice can sneak up on anyone who steps outdoors in those nasty wintry mix conditions. We keep these in each vehicle, we give them as gifts, and we always want to have a spare ready to slip on. We are convinced Yaktrax in our family have prevented many falls.

I like the idea of the Velcro cross strap, as previous yaktrax versions I have owned occasionally came artsy off my boot during use. My only complaint is the fit isn't ideal for all in this o/s product. Hopefully they will go back to S/M/L sizing and lee the Velcro strap!

I live in a hilly area of Wisconsin and during the winter, the roads are snow covered and slippery. For outdoor running, these Yaktrax are a must have. They fit easily over your running shoes, and are not really noticeable once you get going. They work best on hard packed snow. They are not fool proof on ice and they shouldn't be worn if there's more pavement than snow. Well made and reliable.
