I have been looking for slippers that are so quiet that I can use for walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night without waiking up my wife.I finally found them. THere are on the market soft slippers for women but they are too soft and padded and I do not like them. These are the best. I use...

Very well made and comfortable. Fit is true to size unlike what other reviewers say. However they are a bit wide for women with a B width, but doesn't really matter as they are slippers. I have not washed them and they could shrink.

Hi, Katie. I wash all of my wool products ONLY in cold water. And only hang dry. I also always use Woolite. I'm sure the detergent doesn't make that much of a difference but I really like my wool shirts, socks and slippers, so I don't take any chances. These things are too expensive to ruin over one wash. Hope this helps. :-)

They might shrink a little in warm water but you can stretch them out by stuffing paper towels inside when you air dry them. I'm sure they will be fine. I have like 5 pair and wash mine all the time in warm water .

I have a pair of Wesenjak moccasins as well as a pair of their slip-ons, and I wash both in warm water (in clothes washer) and I put them in the dryer for a damp-dry, then usually hang completely dry. (Sometimes, in a hurry, I dry them all the way in the dryer.) The soles curl up a little after the first wash, maybe due to slight shrinkage, but otherwise they hold up great and nothing bad has happened :-) I think they might shrink a little in the warm/warm treatment, but they are soft and plenty roomy so they still fit fine.

I wash them in warm water and they have done well. No dryer, though.

I've washed them in warm (80-90 degree) water with no problem. I use the delicates/wool cycle. They do shrink a little - not much. Cold water washes we probably lessen shrinkage and keep colors bright longer.

I typically wash in cold, but quite likely have mistakenly washed in warm also. I have had several pair of these slippers over the years and highly recommend them.

We have many pairs and have washed them in cold and warm...wife says. They are boiled wool so if they have been boiled you would think they have shrunk all they are going to already. These have been great slippers. I wear them in the house and if I have to go outside... I wear them. Have held up well after lots of washing's.

I hand washed mine for the 1st time and put them out to dry. Whether it is safe to use warm water...well if they fit snugly I would not, if they are amply large for you, it might be ok. Remember wool can shrink.

It may be safer to wash them using cold water to avoid possible shrinking that may occur if using warm water.

We've only used cold water washing. The washing care tag recommends 30 C or below (cold temp). Great slippers, very comfortable.

I've washed my Wesenjak slippers many times in warm water. It works fine and they don't shrink. I even put them in the dryer on medium heat. They do eventually lost their "structure" and then I get some new ones, but they last about four years. I suppose you could wash them in cold water, but I don't bother. If you air dry them, they take 2 or 3 days. I always keep two pair for this reason and alternate them.
Am diabetic and I live in Maine in a house with unheated concrete floors. These are the only slippers that work for me. Pure wool.
Hope this helps.

I also wear a lot of European shoes and always fit a size 41 (US 10 1/2). I was a little concerned when I ordered these slippers, because of mixed reviews regarding the sizing. So I ordered two sizes! 41 and 42 - I figured the price was good enough that it was worth the cost of mailing back the pair that might not fit! At first I thought they fit equally well, but the 41 is definitely too small - I can get my foot in, and they are plenty wide enough, but my toes are definitely right at the end of the slipper. The 42 is a much better fit and is not at all sloppy. I sent the 41s back. Hope this helps.

I'll have to say that they run small. I got size 45 because that's the closest size that was available on sale. I should wear size 42, so I took a chance. The slides work fine but the moccasins are too big on me. So far I've been wearing the slides and figure I'll wear heavy socks with the moccasins. I can't say how many sizes too big they are- perhaps two? I doubt that they are 3 sizes too big.

I found them true to size for the typical european to US sizing conversion. They are great slippers!
