Like this tee so much I have bought 3. Nice weight, not see thru like some. Have been wearing them for fall hikes in CA. Great as a layer but also on its own. 5'7" 170lb the XL fits fine. This is not a tight fitting tee like the bodyfit. Comfortable neckline.

I took three Icebreaker short sleeve shirts on a 4-week trip to Central Europe. I loved them. They fit well, are cool and comfortable, wash easily, and dry quickly. I had been looking for a natural fabric alternative for shirts with SPF protection. These shirts are great.

I got this shirt for ultra distance trail running in the spring/summer/fall, in an effort to stay more comfortable while running through a variety of microclimates during a single run (for example, hot temps in valley changing to cold, including rain/snow, on a mountain top). Tech fabrics can feel very cold against skin once they become saturated with sweat. This is fine when it is hot, and very uncomfortable if/when the weather changes to cold/wet. Merino feels more like it takes on my body temperature, even when it is damp. This shirt, so far, has performed beautifully for me. The fit is true to size. My shoulders are a women's 10. I usually wear a size M in Icebreaker and I wear a M in this shirt. It is long enough to tuck easily into tights and long enough not to ride up, revealing bare skin, under my running pack. Very importantly, unlike many tech fabrics, the merino in this shirt is soft and non-abrasive, even worn under my running pack all day long. With many tech shirts I develop a patch of "road rash" on my mid-back when I run in a pack for extended periods. Not with this shirt. I think some of the softness has to do with the "ultra fine" materials in this shirt. It is noticeably thinner and softer than another short-sleeve Icebreaker shirt I ordered. I prefer this one; sent back the other. I am giving it only 4 stars because I am mildly concerned about durability (since it is thin) and because the cut is somewhat masculine. A slightly more feminine cut would make it more flattering and form-fitting.

Like the higher neckline verses the others with the huge scoop neck.

The texture, fit and color are perfect for my frame. The fine gauge merino wool is extremely comfortable for every day use or athletics
or mild exercise. It breathes and wicks moisture very well. In addition the bright colors are fashionable.

What I like about merino wool is that it never gets smelly or feels wet against my skin. When I travel I just rinse it out in the sink at night and it is good to go in the morning. What I don't like is that if you do machine wash it eventually it gets little holes everywhere, and it costs so much for a t shirt. I still end up wearing the t-shirts, because they just work so well both summer and winter, maybe especially summer. This shirt, the color is bright and nice and the fit is good.
