This is really a beautiful top. It's very soft, has a lovely drape to the fabric and the orange is a pleasing shade, not jarring like some orange can be. I bought it as base layer for skiing, but it's much more versatile than that. I love the breathability of wool, how it doesn't feel damp when I ge... Read More

Fits great and super warm with minimal bulk. Excellent cold weather mid layer.

Great price for this heavy weight feeling long sleeve shirt. Has an overall pleasing look and style and fits perfectly for an XL, I have a 45 chest, 5'8, 183 lbs to give you an idea. Thumb loops at the bottom of the sleeves I could have done without since the shirt looks good enough for dressier use. I'll just use it for cool winter skiing days at this point.

A good thing, but, unfortunately, is too big for the size of M. I bought it for his son, he wears a size M, but was it wide. I would wear myself. I have the size L and I like it at the time.

I like icebreaker but it is difficult to predict how the size will run. Bought a large short sleeve shirt that ran small and a large t shirt that was just right.

This shirt is comfy and sized correctly. Everything about it lives up to Icebreaker's reputation for quality hiking gear. I especially appreciate the thumb holes and zip up turtleneck. Very versatile in the face of changing weather conditions.

My only complaint is a small one. The colors look much nicer in the picture compared to real life. Looking at the picture on my computer screen I thought the shirt looked handsome enough to wear out to dinner. In reality the slate gray sleeves are a much lighter gray and the red orange panel is a much orange-er orange. Small quibble, and they have discontinued this shirt anyway so when your only paying 40 bucks for an Icebreaker base layer you are making out like a bandit and have nothing to complain about.

    • Answer I would have described it as medium weight, but I see the description already lists it as midweigh, so I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. It's not thin like a Smartwool wool undershirt and it's not thick like what I'd call a "regular" wool sweater. It's a smooth knit and very soft. Maybe that will help. Oh, and I really like it. I'd buy it again.
