I've worn these doing chores, ziplining with my septuagenarian mother and 13-year old daughter in north Georgia and helping rehabilitate my octogenarian father here on the farm. They are light and comfortable. The Vibram crepe sole is silent and doesn't clog when traversing paddocks and mucking stal... Read More

    Wear a men's US 9 and bought these boots in the US 8 and they fit well with medium or light socks doubled, however the boot is very narrow. Aesthetically these boots are very cool in the woodsy urbanish sense... Love the look. Love the boots... but then there's the quirks and quality issues;

    1. Leather is very soft, scuffs easily, like way too easily. The leather finish just comes right off. I'll have to buy some brown polish and see how they look, but this brings me to quirk 2...

    2. Canvas is heavy and slightly stiff and a greenish tan. Brown leather polish is going to screw that up. Haven't tried yet but have no idea how to not ruin the canvas polishing these boots.

    3. Canvas tongue fold digs into the top of your foot at the crease with the ankle. Really annoying at first, but as the canvas stretches/softens with use, this has become less noticeable.

    4. Threads attaching the eyelet strips of leather to the bottom portion of leather have unraveled. This is after 1 week of wearing this boot that claims to be a 1000 mile boot. Hmmm??? I think the threads were just junk, frayed, broke, and pulled out withing the first couple days. Going to have to take these to the local cobbler and restitch them. Not cheap.

    Overall I like these, but they will get thrashed by me, and unless you strictly wear these to stroll the city sidewalk, you'll thrash yours too. So not a true work boot by any means, and that's what I bought them for, so a bit disappointing.

    Most comfortable boots out of the box that I've ever owned. Recommend going 1/2 size down from your normal size. I've worn these 4 days since receiving them about a week ago, and my feet have felt great. Zero break in time. Have worn them with thin dress socks and with extra thick wool/winter socks and the boots feel incredible comfortable either way. The foot and ankle support is also rock solid - the canvas give the ankle and lower leg and excellent "hug" when laced properly. If there was another color available I would buy them right now.

    Just got these boots a couple weeks ago and am IN LOVE. I ordered a half size up and they fit like a glove. Look sharp and several compliments, even the scuffs looks good as it brightens to nearly auburn red rather than brown. Time will tell if they hold up but so far they've saved my feet at work a few times already, building pallet racking and having a couple beams come down on my foot - held up like they had steel toes. Very unexpected and impressive.

    The Wolverine 1000 Mile Rowan boot is a high quality piece of footwear and I highly recommend it. The canvas sides make it cooler to wear and the sole is very comfortable. I would have preferred the Emerson boot, as it is similar but has a lower profile, but this price is extremely good and I am happy. Get this boot while you can, for supplies are skimpy.

    Just spent the day on my feet in Chicago museums with a kid in a baby backpack, no problem. Not too heavy, super comfortable soles. No idea of durability yet but I'm hoping these will last me a long time. I wear size 8.5 Redwing chuckas, have wide feet, and these in 8.5 fit well width wise, maybe a little long in the toe but no big deal.
