I switched to NNN from SNS about 7 years after demoing a set of Atomic skis set up with the NNN-R3 skate binding. Well, the ski did nothing for me (I don't even remember what it was other than an Atomic) but the bindings wowed me. The dual groves give far superior edge control on downhills and do ...

These are very good, lightweight NNN bindings. Just bought 3rd pair for another older pair of skis I want to upgrade. Only issue is that the box did not come with an instruction on exactly where and how to mount them but Rottefella in Norway quickly help me with that little problem. Very easy to use and provide surprisingly good control, also when it comes to "plow-braking".

This is a decent entry binding. They are easy enough to install without a ski tech if you know about balance points, boot lengths, etc. The plastic is not terribly rugged, but nothing seems in danger of breaking. The quick release mechanism works very well, too. I would recommend these to a beginner.
If the ski has an integrated NIS mounting plate they would not be compatible. You would need the Rottefella NIS T4 Touring Bindings Item #4593G, which is designed to mount on ski with the NIS mounting plate.

I recommend taking these to a local shop to be mounted.

I just replaced 3-pin bindings on my wife's skis with these bindings and only had to drill one new hole. Depending on your current 3-pin, you may be able to use most of the existing holes. Just have some epoxy on hand to use in the existing holes when setting the new screws. Make sure if you do need to drill new holes that you are careful to not go too deep. These bindings do come with screws for mounting.
