Purchased this for the dogs food for camping. Have not used yet, but I did measure how much of their food it would hold. Have 2 dogs, 1 is about 60 lbs the other is about 40 lbs. They are fed 2 cups of Country Vet food a day. This container will hold 30 cups easily with the closure staying closed. S... Read More

The bag is well designed and great for traveling but neither bowl will actually hold water which is not very helpful on a road trip.

Although it hasn't been used yet, it was exactly what we wanted

Haven't had a chance to actually travel with this yet, so have to give it 4 stars, but I think it is likely a 5 star product. Everything packs down really well, bowls are a good size, stand up well, and seem very solid. The bag looks like it can hold quite a bit, enough for a very large dog for about a week. We have a 50 and a 60 pound dog, and I think it will hold enough food for both of them for one week, but probably not much more.

Overall, if you travel with dogs, for the price, why not get it? It is way easier than hauling around water and food bowls, and some separate container for the food. Price was great too, $20 with a coupon.

Water bowls leaks. O. K. for travel I suppose but not for frequent use.

    • Answer No, it just has the waterproof bowls
Answered on 12/1/2014 11:41:39 AM by airehead from denver
    • Answer It has separate bowls. Both "bowls" are exceptionally well made and both are waterproof. But the carrying bag is one compartment. I will say I've had it for about a year and it is handy. I take one squished inside the handle of a milk jug gallon of water to the dog park and for some reason every dog there loves to drink out of it. My dog does too. Maybe its the red color. Everyone asks where I got it. They also wash very nice. I do let them air dry. They are the perfect size. Some of these portable bowls are made of cheaper material and are too small.

    • Answer No, the bag is for dry food only, it is not lined like the bowls are, and any water would not stay inside it. There is only 1 compartment.

    • Answer I'm not sure exactly the capacity of the bowls. The bowls are about the size of an average baseball cap. we use the bowls for food and have a metal bowl for water. The food pouch is wonderful and works great. The bowls could be used for water but our dogs prefer a metal or glass bowl.

  • Question “can the bag (not the bowls) be embroidered professionally?”

Asked on 3/21/2014 11:10:44 AM by Joatney from Oregon
    • Answer Yes , it seems like you can easily slide the bag onto a sewing machine and have something sewn on it. The fabric is not too thick but it is not thin like a simple cotton..you will need a good needle.

    • Answer The bag will hold the bowls but it also depends on the amount of food you put in the bag. The cord on the front is expandable and we just shove the bowls under that. The bowls collapse.
