Trained in these boots for two months, then just completed Mt. Everest Base Camp trek. Through snow and very cold conditions. Boots were fantastic best boots on the trek.

Great find, with these boots no longer made, I was happy to snatch them up at a great price. Thay break in in a couple of days out and great for general mountaineering and will take a C2 crampon. Good overall fit for my foot-shape and are very supportive. Great water resistance with the Gore-Tex lining. Very hard wearing. No cons as of yet.

I have only hiked in these boots twice, so I really can't say what the cons of the boot may be, so far haven't seen any. My two trips have included climbing Stone Mountain in Georgia and a 3 mile hike through the mountains in very wet terrain, these boots held up well with no wet feet. The weight of the boot seems good and the ankle support is fantastic. The only reason for the 4 stars is my length of ownership.

Used them for a couple of day hikes on rough, rocky terrain to size them up, then on a climb with crampons (Mt Shasta). The boots are very comfortable, with a great footbed. I'd say they're like a heavy hiker that can be used for mtn work, but a too lightweight for serious ice/glacier or winter climbing. Good multi-purpose boot

I bought these boots to climb Rainier next month. I took them out for a very steep hill climb and found them to be comfortable. No blisters or hot spots after 7 hours of hiking. I believe they will be great for climbing on a mountain with snow. They were a little too stiff for casual hiking. Going down the steep parts the back of my ankle got bruised because they have no give. They are very durable and for the price they are an excellent boot. I believe they will be sufficient for a few days on the mountain and OK for a casual hike.

As a year round hiker I appreciate that this boot is both warm and provides excellent support. It is also 25% lighter than the next lightest boot in its class. Step-in crampon comptability rounds out this boots utility. The fit was great right out of the box, but that is strictly subjective to my wider than average foot.
