Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
If you follow the sizing instructions you will enjoy these boots! Broke these in on a 45 degree couloir along with some mixed climbing....all told a 16 hour day. Boots were comfortable and warm. Great value and seem to be very well made.

Very good snow boot with crampon compatibility but when transitioning to rock the soles are so hard they tend to slip. I couldn't recommend the boot for that reason. Based on two climbs of 19 and 17 miles and over 5,000 feet elevation gain.

Very nice european made mountaineering boots, but watch the sizing. STP sizing is in UK, so size down for US. To get even more confusing...size up 1/2 size from your US size conversion if you are wearing heavy mountaineering socks. Other than the sizing issues...exceptional value in a true mountaineering boot that takes auto crampons with ease
