Wore brand new on a hiking trip and needed no breaking in. Comfortable from the get-go and amazingly great traction over mountain terrain. Love these shoes!!!!

I have a wide foot, sz 9 and these have plenty of room. They would probably feel too big on a narrow footed person, perhaps that is why some reviews call for ordering down. I am happy with the width and pleased to have found a shoe that is extremely supportive. I like the technology and have no leg pain at the end of a long day. My feet do get warm in these shoes but that is the sacrifice for Gore-Tex. They were stiff when new and are a bit heavy. I put them on out of the box and for the past few weeks have been using them under many conditions. No blisters, rubbing, etc. They are softening. I love them and the color is nuetral so it goes with anything. The design actually makes my big feet look smaller too! Another plus!

I am sending these back-They had a stain on the top upon arrvial but could have lived with that but really uncomfortable-gave them to my daughter to try if she could wear them it was a better option than returning. She also found them very uncomfortable and she is the least picky girl I know and could not wear these shoes. Very disappointed.
